🔒 What happens to your file: GPX files are read right in your browser. Other formats (FIT, TCX, KML/KMZ, GeoJSON, NMEA) can't be read by a browser — those are sent to the Reisezoom server for conversion, processed there and deleted immediately. Map tiles are loaded from OpenStreetMap to draw the map. This also contacts an outside service: OpenTopoMap (the tile numbers of the visible map section). Step by step

  1. Load your tour

    Drop the file above — the map preview is exactly what your readers will get.

  2. Pick style and colour

    Four map styles, free track colour, optional privacy notice in front of the map (tiles only load after your reader agrees).

  3. Copy the embed code

    One click gives you a snippet for the WordPress “Custom HTML” block. It runs standalone — no account, no external service of ours involved.

  4. Want more?

    Labels, photos in the map and a linked elevation profile live on the main page; map videos are a job for the free GPS Studio desktop app.

Drop a GPX file (or FIT, TCX, KML…) and get a self-contained interactive Leaflet map you can embed in WordPress or any blog — as a downloadable HTML file or a ready <iframe> snippet. An optional DSGVO/GDPR consent gate loads the map tiles only after the visitor clicks.

FAQ

What happens to my file?

GPX files are read right in your browser. Other formats (FIT, TCX, KML/KMZ, GeoJSON, NMEA) can't be read by a browser — those are sent to the Reisezoom server for conversion, processed there and deleted immediately. GPX is text and is read in the browser. Every other format has to be converted first, and only the server can do that.

How do I embed it?

Copy the embed code and paste it into a “Custom HTML” block in WordPress, or upload the HTML file.

Does it need a server?

No — the exported map is fully self-contained and runs on any static page.
