Merge GPX files

Combine several recordings into one GPX file — drop them all in, sort by time or arrange them yourself, then download one clean GPX. Free, no sign-up. Plain GPX files are not uploaded.

🔒 What happens to your file: GPX files are read right in your browser. Other formats (FIT, TCX, KML/KMZ, GeoJSON, NMEA) can't be read by a browser — those are sent to the Reisezoom server for conversion, processed there and deleted immediately. In detail: what goes where.

Step by step

  1. Collect your files

Drop several recordings at once — the stages of a multi-day tour, or the pieces left by a watch that stopped halfway.

  2. Choose the order

Sort by time (recommended for recordings) or keep your order. Overlapping timestamps are shifted so the clock keeps running forward.

  3. Download the merged track

One continuous GPX. Trim the seams afterwards with Trim or throw out glitches with Clean.

Drop several GPX files (or FIT, TCX, KML/KMZ, GeoJSON…) and merge them into a single GPX track. Sort the parts automatically by their timestamps or arrange them by hand with the ↑/↓ buttons, then download one file. Keep them as separate segments (no line drawn across the gaps) or join everything into one continuous segment. Plain GPX files stay in your browser; other formats are briefly sent to our server for conversion.

FAQ

What happens to my file?

GPX files are read right in your browser. Other formats (FIT, TCX, KML/KMZ, GeoJSON, NMEA) can't be read by a browser — those are sent to the Reisezoom server for conversion, processed there and deleted immediately. GPX is text and is read in the browser. Every other format has to be converted first, and only the server can do that.

Are my files uploaded?

No — GPX files are merged entirely in your browser. Other formats (FIT, TCX…) are only converted to GPX server-side and never stored.

In what order are they joined?

By timestamp when “Sort by time” is on, otherwise in the order of the list — reorder with the ↑/↓ buttons.
