What is KML?
KML (Keyhole Markup Language) is Google's format for geographic data — the format Google Earth and Google My Maps read.
What is GPX?
GPX (GPS Exchange Format) is the universal, human-readable XML standard for GPS tracks — understood by almost every map, route planner, watch and hiking site.
Why convert KML to GPX?
You exported a route from Google Earth or My Maps as KML/KMZ, but your watch, hiking portal or editor wants GPX. This reads the KML/KMZ and writes a clean GPX.
How to convert KML to GPX
1. Drop your KML file above (or click to choose). 2. It is converted on the spot. 3. Your GPX download starts automatically. No sign-up, and your file is never stored.
FAQ
What happens to my file?
Your file is sent to the Reisezoom server for processing, handled there and deleted immediately — nothing is stored. A browser cannot read FIT, TCX, KML or KMZ — some of those are packed binary formats. The conversion uses the same component as the desktop app.
Is it free, no sign-up?
Yes — completely free, no sign-up, and your file is never stored; it is only used to convert.
Does it accept KMZ too?
Yes — both .KML and the zipped .KMZ are accepted.
