Wrong time zone on the action cam, a watch still on winter time, or a planned route with no times at all that your photo tool refuses to accept — track timestamps cause more grief than any other field. This tool has four modes: shift everything by hours, set a new start time while keeping the pace, force a total duration, or create timestamps from a target pace, distributed along the real distance.
FAQ
What happens to my file?
Your file is sent to the Reisezoom server for processing, handled there and deleted immediately — nothing is stored. So that the web tool and the desktop app arrive at the same number, both use the same component — and that one runs on the server.
My track has no times — which mode?
“Create from target pace”. Pick a realistic speed (hiking ≈ 4–5 km/h) and every point gets a clock, spread along the actual distance — dense sections don't get artificially slow.
Which mode for camera sync?
“Shift everything”. If your photos land one hour ahead of the track, shift the track +1 h (or fix it directly in the geotagging tool, which has its own offset).
Does shifting change my track?
Only the times. Positions, elevation and point count stay identical — pace and duration too, since every point moves by the same amount.
Is faking times cheating?
Creating times makes a route usable in tools that require them. It does not create a real activity — uploading such a file to a competition platform as a genuine effort is on you.
