Step by step

  1. Drop your file onto the box above

    GPX, FIT, TCX, KML/KMZ, GeoJSON or NMEA — straight from your watch, bike computer or phone. GPX is read right in your browser; the other formats are sent to our server for conversion and deleted immediately afterwards.

  2. Read the map and the numbers

    The map shows your route with start and finish, below it distance, duration, ascent and average speed — calculated the same way as in the GPS Studio desktop app.

  3. Explore the elevation profile

    Move your mouse along the profile and the matching spot lights up on the map — handy for finding out where that one brutal climb actually was.

  4. Keep working on the track

    Too many points? Simplify it. GPS glitches? Clean it. Want it on your blog? Build a blog map.

Drop a GPX file (or FIT, TCX, KML/KMZ, GeoJSON, NMEA) and it appears on an interactive OpenStreetMap with start and finish markers, an elevation profile linked to the map, and your key tour data. Nothing is uploaded for GPX — it is read directly in your browser.

What happens to my file?

GPX files are read right in your browser. Other formats (FIT, TCX, KML/KMZ, GeoJSON, NMEA) can't be read by a browser — those are sent to the Reisezoom server for conversion, processed there and deleted immediately. GPX is text and is read in the browser. Every other format has to be converted first, and only the server can do that.

Which files can I view?

GPX is read directly in your browser. FIT, TCX, KML/KMZ, GeoJSON and NMEA go to our server for conversion and are deleted right after.

Is my file stored?

No. GPX is read locally in your browser; other formats are only converted, never stored.
