Map video
Your trip as a video.
Drop a track or type a few places — camera flight, title and end card are ready at once. Then pick a look and format and download your MP4.
Upload a track
A recording from your watch, bike computer, phone or camera. The file is read in your browser, not uploaded.
GPX · FIT · TCX · KML/KMZ · GeoJSON · NMEA — or just drop it hereType places
For trips without a recording: type your stops and pick car, bike, walking, train, boat or plane for each leg.
🔒 Runs entirely in your browser: your track and video stay on your device, computed with the same engine as the desktop app. Only map tiles (OpenFreeMap, satellite imagery), the position of start and finish for title suggestions (Photon place search) and — for “Type places” — the search for your places and the routing (OSRM) go over the network.
Questions
Is it really free?
Yes. No sign-up, no watermark, no limits. The studio runs in your browser, so a video costs us nothing.
Where does my data go?
It stays on your device. The track is read in the browser, the video is encoded in the browser and the project is kept in the browser's storage. Only map tiles, the position of start and finish for title suggestions and — if you type places — search and routing go over the network.
Which browsers work?
Chrome or Edge on a computer work best — that's what the studio is tested with. Safari and Firefox have the required technology but haven't been tested thoroughly yet; 4K doesn't work on every device. On a phone the preview runs; for exporting, a computer is better.
Can I use the videos on YouTube?
Yes, also in monetised videos. The map sources only ask to be credited — that's why the line at the bottom of the picture stays.
What else can the desktop app do?
Keyframes for every camera move, your own overlays, music, photos and clips at their place, a log book, several tracks as one trip, ProRes with transparency and any resolution. It opens every web project 1:1.
Your route deserves
a big entrance.
The first time, your browser loads the engine (about 20 MB). After that it starts faster.
Name and region give your tour its beginning.
The route becomes the common thread, highlights mark the special spots.
